How the Climate Crisis Has Become a Global Health Crisis

This week’s discussion was led by Clara, who started our conversation by covering cases of locally acquired dengue fever in Florida and California - according to the CDC, there have been 7 cases of locally acquired autochthonous malaria from May to July alone. Topics of conversations included warming waters and increasing temperatures around the world, and the responsibility we have as water scientists to consider the public health implications of our work.
