Osman Lab at AGU - Posters, Presentations, Pizzazz

If you happened to be in San Francisco between 11 and 15 December 2023, you might have seen the Osman Lab members eagerly rushing from room to room at the Moscone Center, exhilarated by the sheer wealth of knowledge present under one roof. Every year, the American Geophysical Union Annual Meeting is looked forward to by scientists and students alike, and this year’s meeting was scintillating as always.

The Osman Lab’s work was well represented by its students! Aadhi, Aggrey, Allisa, Oluchi and Shuojia each presented a poster and received acclaim for their novel areas of expertise. Here are a few notable moments that were captured.

Allisa and Professor Osman chairing a session on Water and Society: Equity and Justice in Water Systems. Not pictured is the rest of the Osman Lab gathered in the audience to cheer our teammates on!

Shuojia (left) presents her project on using media trends to understand water reuse in the US.

Allisa (left) talks about her study on drinking water affordability in Palo Alto.

Dr. Aggrey (right) presents his research on using language models to simplify water reports.

Oluchi explains her work on energy equity in Sub-Saharan Africa.
