Osman Lab Begins Work on EPA Funded Collaboration for Sanitation Justice

The Osman Lab, in collaboration with Dr. Will Tarpeh (Stanford), Catherine Coleman Flowers (Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice), and Dr. Rojelio Mejia (Baylor), has received an EPA STAR Grant to study rural sanitation justice in predominantly African American communities in the U.S. More details about the specifics of this work can be fund at the EPA website for Grantee Research Project Results. Fieldwork for this project will begin in April, with Dr. Osman and Allisa Hastie traveling to Lowndes County, Alabama to meet with community members and conduct focus groups.
