Embracing Narratives, Inspiring Change

On 11/16, Dr. Osman set the tone for transformative action at the San Mateo County Environmental Youth Summit as the keynote speaker. The Summit brings together sixth- to twelfth-grade student leaders across San Mateo County who are eager to make an environmental sustainability impact in their community. It educates and empowers students to take action and be part of creating a sustainable future.

Dr. Osman’s talk focused on “Embracing Your Story”, emphasizing that everyone has a story to share, and how these stories are often tied back to our environments and can push us to lead for equitable environmental change. He shared my own personal story of growth and development, and encouraged students to find and own their individual narratives.
