Exploring the self in science

At the Osman Lab, we are always questioning how we engage with the communities we work with, and how our individual stories shape the way we interact with them. As part of the 2024 cohort of SciComm Identities Project Fellows, a highly competitive science communication fellowship for pre-tenure faculty of color, Dr. Osman had the opportunity to travel to the University of Rhode Island between January 15 and 17. The event focused on exploring the idea of one’s science identity and the ways in which it shapes science communication.
