It’s great to reciprocate - Insights from NatCap 2024

The spring quarter was nicely rounded off with Dr. Osman’s success at the Natural Capital Syposium 2024, held at Stanford University from June 4th to 7th. The symposium brought together 400 people from more than 45 countries and covered a number of topics, ranging from natural capital and ecosystem-based approaches in governments and international financial institutions to the relationships between socioeconomic inequalities and biodiversity. Dr. Osman’s session “Equity, Justice, and Reciprocal Relationships with Nature” aimed to explore the reciprocal relationship between people and nature through a lens of equity, justice, and bio-cultural values. Dr. Osman had the opportunity to present his vast experiences with community-engaged research and systems-based thinking for water infrastructure. Congrats, Dr. Osman!
